When accepted to be a Femagraphy Model you have the opportunity to model for one or more photographic and/or video shoots. It is an awesome way to get great portraits and video of you, without having the cost of commissioning the professional services.
Successful applicants also have the opportunity to be listed as freelance models who can be booked at an hourly rate by students and other creatives for modelling work.

Being A Model
- Do one or more shoots with Arjo in which diverse creative concepts are transformed in awesome photographic imagery and video. Every shoot is built around you as unique individual.
- You get to experience the power of freedom of expressing the deepest creative essence of who you are.
- Each shoot is totally private and confidential – no spectators or companions allowed on the closed set.
- You ideally need to be undiscovered new talent.
- At this stage shoots are done in the Johannesburg vicinity, but almost anywhere else is also possible.
- A basic modelling fee payable to the model is negotiated for each shoot to cover direct costs. Doing a shoot is a unique creative collaboration from which you gain an awesome set of photos in exchange for being a model. If you wish to explore making money part time as a model, it may be possible by getting involved with activities relating to the promotion of Femagraphy publications sales, as well as auxiliary business activities – this is subject to discussion.
- Photographs and video from shoots are published in books, online, used in photography seminars and workshops as well as video productions and other platforms.
- You receive a selection of photos from each shoot to use for non-commercial purposes and if a video is done, you receive the video as well.
- When a model is listed as freelance model available to be booked on the website for modelling work, the model receives an hourly modelling fee. Bookings can be by students or other creatives. For a model listing a website profile is created and a booking portal created for your profile. Fees apply for freelance model listing.
Terms, Conditions & Criteria
- You ideally to be undiscovered new talent.
- A female 18 years and older can apply.
- Although there are no fixed criteria for you to be selected as a Femagraphy model, the following applies:
- We need to creatively connect.
- No modelling experience is required as all training and direction is provided during each shoot.
- Be open minded and adventurous – shoots progress from dressed to nude.
- You can have piercings and tattoos, or none.
- Be in good physical shape.
